Aid Gate Organization (AGO) is implementing a Protection and Social Cohesion project aimed at supporting vulnerable individuals, returnees, and community members through case management, protection services, and social cohesion activities in Salah Al-Din Governorate. The project focuses on strengthening community stability, supporting vulnerable populations, and improving access to essential services through structured case management and referral mechanisms.
AGO is seeking a qualified Case Worker to support the implementation of case management activities, provide direct assistance to beneficiaries, and conduct field outreach across all districts of Salah Al-Din Governorate.
- Job Purpose
The Case Worker will be responsible for providing direct support to vulnerable individuals through holistic case management services, including intake, assessment, case planning, referral, follow-up, and documentation. The role requires regular field visits across Salah Al-Din Governorate to ensure proper outreach, monitoring, and coordination with service providers, community leaders, and local authorities.
The Case Worker will work under the supervision of the Protection and Social Cohesion Specialist and will support the implementation of protection and social cohesion activities in accordance with AGO procedures, donor requirements, and humanitarian principles.
- Key Responsibilities
- Case Management
- Conduct intake assessments to identify the needs and vulnerabilities of beneficiaries.
- Register beneficiaries using approved case management forms and tools.
- Develop individualized case plans based on assessment results.
- Provide continuous case management support including follow-up visits and reassessment.
- Ensure that beneficiaries receive appropriate services in a timely manner.
- Maintain confidentiality of all beneficiary information.
- Follow case management SOPs and organizational procedures.
- Prioritize cases based on vulnerability criteria.
- Ensure informed consent before collecting or sharing information.
- Update case files regularly.
- Direct Assistance
- Provide direct support to beneficiaries including guidance and basic counseling.
- Conduct home visits and field follow-ups across Salah Al-Din Governorate.
- Assist beneficiaries in accessing available services.
- Build trust with beneficiaries to support effective case management.
- Provide information about available assistance programs.
- Support beneficiaries facing urgent protection needs.
- Ensure respectful and safe communication with beneficiaries.
- Monitor beneficiary progress during follow-up visits.
- Identify additional needs during field visits.
- Support reintegration and social stability of beneficiaries.
- Coordination and Referral
- Coordinate with local service providers to facilitate referrals.
- Maintain updated list of service providers in Salah Al-Din Governorate.
- Prepare referral forms and documentation.
- Follow up on referrals to ensure services are received.
- Coordinate with NGOs, local authorities, and community leaders.
- Participate in coordination meetings when requested.
- Report gaps in services to supervisor.
- Support strengthening referral pathways.
- Ensure referrals respect confidentiality rules.
- Support communication between beneficiaries and service providers.
- Monitoring and Reporting
- Maintain accurate case files for all beneficiaries.
- Record case management activities in approved formats.
- Update case records after each follow-up.
- Prepare weekly and monthly reports.
- Submit reports to Protection and Social Cohesion Specialist.
- Provide data for donor reporting when requested.
- Maintain proper filing system.
- Report urgent cases immediately.
- Participate in team meetings.
- Support monitoring visits when required.
- Field Outreach and Social Cohesion Activities
- Conduct regular field visits to all districts of Salah Al-Din Governorate.
- Identify vulnerable individuals through outreach activities.
- Support community-based protection activities.
- Participate in social cohesion events and meetings.
- Assist in organizing awareness sessions.
- Coordinate with community leaders and stakeholders.
- Report protection risks observed in the field.
- Support mobile case management missions.
- Follow security procedures during field travel.
- Prepare field visit notes when required.
- Compliance and Quality Assurance
- Follow AGO policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with donor requirements.
- Follow safeguarding and PSEA rules.
- Maintain confidentiality of beneficiary data.
- Ensure services are gender-sensitive.
- Respect cultural norms.
- Maintain professional behavior.
- Report misconduct or concerns.
- Follow security guidelines.

- Qualifications and Experience
Essential
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Social Sciences, or related field.
- Minimum 2 years experience in case management or protection work.
- Experience in humanitarian or development projects preferred.
- Experience working in Salah Al-Din is an advantage.
- Experience using case management systems preferred.
- Good computer skills.
- Ability to travel across Salah Al-Din Governorate.
- Fluency in Arabic.
- Good English skills.
Desirable
- Experience with digital case management systems.
- Experience working with returnees or vulnerable groups.
- Experience in protection or social cohesion projects.
